Thermostatic bypass valve
Heat Interface Units (BG 62/2015) was written by Reginald Brown and published by BSRIA in December 2015. It states: ‘A thermostatic bypass valve (where fitted) is intended to pass sufficient flow to offset the standing heat loss between the branch connection and the HIU when there is no load. This provides a fast response to domestic hot water demand. The valve may be thermo-mechanical or electrically operated.’
